Terri Pitts has been honored as a 2015 Action for Healthy Kids Healthy School Hero. She is a teacher from San Antonio who has put a lot of effort in fighting childhood obesity and been recognized for it.

Terri is a teacher in Colonial Hills Elementary School. Along with her other 12 teachers around the United States have also been honored with Healthy School Hero awards.

As a press release has it, Pitts has been supporting school’s grab-and-go breakfast. She has also been active with family fitness and garden programs.
