Ford Dealers and Ford Motor Company in San Antonio announced they will fund $50,000 in scholarships for eligible high school students who intend to pursue education in math, technology, engineering and science. The scholarships are administered by LNESC (LULAC National Educational Service Centers). They are a part of Ford Driving Dreams launching is San Antonio in 2016.
Qualifying seniors who graduate in 2016 will get $2,000-a-piece scholarships to study in an accredited college or university. Applications must be sent before the deadline on Feb. 29. Applicants must also submit an essay with their application. The topic is the same for everyone: “What Drives Your Dream?”
Ford Motor Company Fund invests over $8,000,000 a year in philanthropic projects such as educational initiatives including scholarships.
San Antonio is also the location of the Henry Ford Academy: Alameda School for Art + Design which was created by Henry Ford Learning Institute and local arts organizations in 2009.
